Core objects
In full
Companies, People, Deals and Organizer activities are separate modules in Teamgate. Companies and people are distinct record types linked many to many - the vendor notes that one person can work in several companies, and shows the link in an Associated Contacts block on both cards and in an association tree. A deal is created against a Company/People selection, from a contact card, or on lead conversion, and an activity is created from a lead, person, company or deal list or card and attached to further records with the +Add contacts or +Add deal buttons.

Pipeline stages
In full
Stages belong to a pipeline and are defined in Settings > Deals > Deals settings, each carrying a title, a win probability and a limit on how long a deal may sit there, with the vendor stating that "Stages will be ordered by a percentage" so the ordering is held on the stage record rather than on a view. A deal carries its position and is moved by dragging it from one stage to the next in the pipeline view, or by setting the stage on the deal card.

Status
In full
Won and lost are not stages. Stage settings produce only named stages carrying a probability and a duration, while a deal is closed by dragging it onto the win or lose line that appears above the pipeline, and the vendor states that "Your sales pipeline contains only active Deals, which are not closed yet". The deals list carries a Status filter whose menu offers Won and Lost, so whether a deal is still running is read from the deal's own status rather than from the stage it stopped in.

Resolution
In part
The same status carries Won and Lost as its two closed values alongside the active deals that stay in the pipeline view, so the outcome is an attribute of the deal and not something read off the stage it ended in. It is still one tri-state field: won and lost are values of whether the deal is still running, and no separate outcome attribute is documented.

Value
In full
A deal carries a Price, entered when the deal is created, and the platform treats it as money rather than as a number. A currency is assigned per deal, the forecast multiplies the deal value by the win probability of its stage, and products attached from the catalog total into the deal's selling price in the deal's chosen currency.

Scope of work
In full
Products from the catalog attach to a deal, with quantity and discount set from the catalog panel and the deal displaying the total value of the products attached to it in the deal's currency. The catalog itself holds SKU codes, descriptions, prime cost and unit price in several currencies, and an account setting can always set the total of the products assigned to a deal as the deal's selling price. The vendor's published comparison lists a products catalog on every plan.

Expected close date
In full
A Close date is entered when a deal is created, and the vendor describes it as an estimated closing date that alerts the owner once the deadline is overdue. The deals filter offers Estimated Closure date, the Forecast view arranges deals into weekly, monthly or quarterly columns by their estimated close date, and the dashboard's Total Pipeline tile counts active deals whose closing date falls inside the selected period.

Actual close date
No verdict
No verdict. The only date documented on the deal is the estimated closing date, and no vendor page reviewed describes a second field holding the date a deal actually ended or states that closing a deal stamps one. The vendor's own closing instructions cover dragging the deal onto the win or lose line and supplying a loss reason, with no mention of a date. Reporting points both ways and settles nothing: the Won/Lost report groups deals by creation date, while Pipeline history and Movement count won and lost deals during the period selected and the dashboard's Sales Revenue tile totals deals won in a period, which implies a closing timestamp somewhere without documenting a field. Teamgate's developer site publishes a getting-started guide only, so no enumeration of the attributes the deal object carries was reachable and absence cannot be evidenced.

Opportunity owner
In full
The vendor states that "Each Deal is assigned to its owner or a team", and the opportunity management page describes adding owners and collaborators to a deal. Owner is one of the standing filters on the deals list, and the help center publishes an article on changing the owner of a deal.

Linked buyer
In full
A deal is created against a Company/People selection, and the documented creation routes include starting the deal from a contact card and creating it when a lead is converted. The link reaches the individual and not only the employer: incoming mail attaches to a deal card by the buyer's email address, and tags and custom field values transfer from the buyer card onto the deal card.

Record preservation
In full
Closing a deal takes it out of the pipeline view but not out of the account. The vendor states the pipeline holds only active deals, and won and lost deals are retrieved in the deals List view by filtering on Status. They stay measurable too: the Won/Lost report counts and values won, lost and open deals and works out a win percentage, Pipeline history plots won and lost deals against those created, and the dashboard's Sales Revenue tile totals the deals won in the period selected.

Structured lost reasons
In full
Loss reasons are a list an administrator maintains in Settings > Deals > Loss reasons, adding each reason by title, and the vendor states that when you are about to close your deal "the loss reason is required". The values are counted rather than merely stored: the dashboard shows top lost reasons and Insights carries a Lost by Reasons breakdown under Sales Results > Won/Lost.

Email sync
In full
A mailbox is connected to Teamgate - Gmail through a Google connection, other providers through the vendor's Nylas-backed connector or a direct SMTP connection - after which incoming and outgoing mail appears in Teamgate's Mail section and attaches to the matching contact and deal cards, with controls for how far back to sync, which labels or folders to include and whether to bring in mail unrelated to a contact. The Sales Inbox composes, replies, replies all and forwards from inside Teamgate using templates, signatures and merge fields, and state written in Teamgate returns to the mailbox: the vendor states that if the user reads email from Teamgate "the email will be marked as read in the main inbox (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) as well". Deletion is the documented exception and does not propagate back.

Calendar sync
In full
Office 365 and Outlook.com calendars connect for what the vendor calls "both way meeting sync between two calendars", with a Sync now button and a delay of up to five minutes. Coverage is narrower elsewhere. The Google Calendar article documents Teamgate meetings appearing in the chosen Google calendar and notes that "Teamgate and Google Calendar sync meetings only", without stating that Google events come back the other way, and Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple and Android calendars are offered a CalDAV link whose direction the article does not state.

Schedulable activity types
In full
An activity is scheduled from a lead, person, company or deal list or card, from the quick New menu, or by picking a slot in the Organizer calendar, and carries a type, a time, an owner that can be handed to a colleague, reminders and links to further contacts and deals. Call and Task ship as system types and cannot be reordered, and beyond those an administrator creates their own in Settings > Calendar > Activity types with a name and an icon, the vendor's examples being Email, Follow-up, Anniversary, Reminder to pay and Send invoice.

Opportunity reporting
In full
All three reports are native. The Sales Funnel report states the stage-to-stage conversion rate as the percentage of deals that moved to the next stage, defined as the total number of deals in the following stage divided by the total number of deals in the current stage. The Won/Lost report gives an overall win rate, defined by the vendor as won deals divided by the total number of deals in the time frame selected and drawn as separate curves for count and for value. Forecasting runs from the Deals section's Forecast view, where the forecast is a deal's value multiplied by the win probability of its stage, arranged into weekly, monthly or quarterly columns by estimated close date, and again as an Insights curve. Access is tiered rather than sold as an add-on: the vendor's current comparison puts deals forecasting on every plan and the Insights analytics module on the paid plans.
